final prep for WWW2010 trip

2010-04-23 @ 17:29#

i'm wrapping things up here at the office and getting ready to head home to stuff my travel trunk and hit the road.

pre-amble

i'm taking a side trip to start. i'll spend Saturday backpacking in the Pisgah National Forest near Asheville, NC. Sunday, i'll stop at the The International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro, NC on my way to Raleigh, NC for the WWW2010 conference.

main event

of course, there will be lots of exiciting doings at the WWW2010 event in Raleigh, NC. this is my first chance to attend the annual WWW event and i'm looking forward to the First International Workshop on RESTful Design (WS-REST 2010) and Linked Data on the Web (LDOW2010) workshops on monday and tuesday (respectively) and to the Linked Open Data Camp (LODCamp) and HTML 5 Camp on thursday and friday. i think there's something going on with main conference sessions, too[g].

updates thru the week

i'll do my best to blog about it here and to keep up my @mamund feed. i'll also be hanging out in #WWW2010 on freenode (my unofficial IRC channel for the event). i'll also occasionally check in at the #rest on freenode IRC channel.

free books

don't forget that i'll be giving away a free copy of @sallamar's RESTful Web Services Cookbook every day throughout the week. just send me a tweet using the #RWSC hashtag and be the first to greet me in the morning by mentioning the book and you get your copy free.

i'll keep you updated on where i am (using the same hashtag) and will share the handles of the winners each day.

see you in Raleigh!
