good news on the engine light
got good news this afternoon on the engine light in shannon's new ford focus. turns out it is probably due to a bad pcv vale or possibly a leaking vacuum line. neither are very serious. that's a relief.
i got this info from my friendly neighborhood AutoZone store. they are really top notch. i pulled the car up into the parking lot and went in to tell them about my engine light. before i could finish one of the guys behind the counter grabbed his 'scope' and lead me back out to the car where he hooked it up and gave me his assessment. he even complimented me on the condition of the car in general - nice touch!
anyway, he cleared the light for me. said if it comes up again, i should consider looking into it, otherwise, just ignore it. saved me time, worry, and money. i like that.
now i just need to get the air conditioning re-charged so i can deliver it back to shannon!
