software licensing is a pain

i think i like the BSD license better. simpler. much like MIT/X11. seems friendly enough. besides, it's the same license used by the *very cool* MVP.Xml Project that i use so often - and that's on .NET!

i'm doing some reseach on software licensing this week in preparation for releasing a version of exyus for others to play with, etc. and it's all a PITA.

see, i build using Microsoft .NET. that presents some problems free-wise. it looks like most folks who release free software for .NET use the LGPL license. some use the MIT or X11 license. i'm not clear on the differences, but it's really bugging me.

it should not be this hard!
