more on FOAF, SSL, and RDFAuth

this post continues to fill out the notion of an RDFAuth pattern that leverages FOAF and SSL. while it looks a bit 'rangy' (seems like lots of GETs to accomplish the task), i like the direction and the possibilities.
do we really need X.509 for this?
