Alan Dean outlines REST-ful shopping
Alan Dean has posted several items on his view of a REST-ful online shopping experience. in his latest item, he offers some illustrations to drive home the importance of loose coupling, proper handling of client state, and the potential value of serendipitous re-use.
early in Alan's posts, i was not quite 'on board' with his POV. but now that i see his outline in better detail, it makes lots of sense to me. again, IMO this is another example of how REST is not always easy to grok at first. but once you begin to review the details, the perceived up-front complexity of REST provides added benefits over time.
